My friend, David, threw a fabulous party for his 40th birthday, and the theme was “Red, Hot and Black.” I decided to highlight my hair for the event, hence the braided updo, accented with fresh roses.

I’ve alternated between growing my hair out, and donating my hair to Locks of Love when it gets to be waist-length. I’m blessed with great hair genes from my mom, so I’ve already been able to make three donations over the years. Of course, there’s a period of time when I love to experiment with various hairstyles. This was one of my favorites!
